Atrium game software

Price on request

The Atrium software program controls the Real Time Scoring system. It is important to understand that ALL parameters of the game are completely programmable, and are set from the Atrium software. You are not forced to select from a list of preset game plans, but you can easily program your own. This ensures maximum flexibility and allows you to run your laser tag game the way you want to.

Communications Parameters
Arena construction and layout can have an affect on the RTS system performance. We built our radio system to compensate for these situations. Variables like buffering, transmission timeout, and transmission retry can be customized to achieve optimal performance.

Handicaps
The handicap feature of Atrium is perhaps the most versatile and flexible part of the system. You can customize five levels of handicap and assign them to any player. Handicapping levels the playing field so that experienced and inexperienced players can both have a great laser tag experience. The list of programmable handicaps is the following.

Shots - defines the number of shots a player starts with.
Lives - defines the number of lives a player starts with.
Grenade Cost - defines how many shots it costs to fire a grenade.
Recharge Level - defines the level of recharge a player receives from a recharge station.
Burst Fire - defines if a player can fire a five shot burst or single shot.
Hit All - defines if a player can tag a member of his own team or not.
Skill - defines if a player can be tagged again while disabled.

Multiple game formats
Multiple game formats can easily be programmed from the Atrium screen. There are two types of game plans, scoring and non-scoring. In a scoring game plan, players receive an individual scorecard. Non-scoring game plans do not generate a scorecard.

Scoring Game Plans
Solo - Players play an individual game with all other players as their opponents. Highest score determines the winner.

Team - Players are divided into two teams. Teams work together to defeat the opposing team. Winning team has highest combined score. Individual team high scores and rankings are identified on scorecards.

Continuous - This game plan allows for a continuous flow of players in and out of the arena to give you the ultimate in through put. This is a solo game format with all players competing against each other.

Non-scoring Game Plans
Tug-O-War - Players are divided into two teams. When a player hits a member of the opposing team the hit player changes teams and color. This continues until time expires. Winning team has highest number players on its side when game is over.

Highlander - This is a solo elimination game. Players compete against each other and lives are limited to only 1-3. When a player is tagged for his final life, they fall out of the game. Winner is the last player remaining.

Dracula - One player starts out as the Dracula (red color), all other players are mortals (green color). Hits by the green players on Dracula are defensive only, delaying the Dracula long enough to make an escape. When the Dracula tags a green player, they too become a vampire and then assist Dracula in converting remaining players to vampires.
